Accessibility statement

Accessibility.
Designed and engineered to WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, tested across screen readers and assistive technology.

paul-okhrem.com is committed to digital accessibility. The site is designed and engineered to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact paul@paul-okhrem.com.

Conformance

Standards and approach.

The site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the conformance standard. This includes contrast ratios meeting 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text, full keyboard navigation, semantic HTML structure, ARIA labels where appropriate, and consistent focus indicators.

Pages are tested with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows), keyboard-only navigation, and at multiple zoom levels up to 200%. Touch targets meet the 44×44 CSS pixel minimum on mobile devices.

The site uses semantic HTML5 elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <section>, <article>, <footer>), ARIA landmarks, and accessible names for interactive elements. Form fields have explicit labels. Images have descriptive alt text. Color is not the sole carrier of information.

Reporting

Report an accessibility issue.

If you encounter any barrier accessing the site — inadequate contrast, missing labels, broken keyboard navigation, screen reader issues, or anything else — please report it to paul@paul-okhrem.com. Reports are reviewed personally and responded to within two business days.

Please include: the page URL, the device or assistive technology used, a brief description of the barrier, and (where possible) what you were trying to accomplish.

Substantive accessibility fixes are deployed within 14 days of confirmed report. Critical issues affecting common assistive workflows are prioritized.

Known limitations

Known issues being worked on.

Currently tracked accessibility limitations:

  • The Proof Standard™ SVG diagram on the homepage is decorative and labeled. A non-decorative version with extended text descriptions is in scope for the next refresh.
  • The hero animations on landing pages respect prefers-reduced-motion, but a few decorative gradients animate without a reduced-motion alternative. Tracked for the next refresh.

This statement was last reviewed on May 3, 2026. The site is reviewed for accessibility quarterly, with corrections deployed continuously.
